| Land
of Illusion showcases a darker, more sinister atmosphere throughout
the park than ever before! Changes to each and every haunt have arrived
for 2016 ranging from a new approach to The Trail to a narrow path
across a "bottomless pit" in Killer Klowns to the arrival of an
albino gator (actor-tronic) that's taken up residence at Voodoo Bayou
Shanty. Attractions are more densely populated, with the quality of
acting found to be on the rise as well, especially along The Trail
and inside
Temple of Terror, where enthusiastic characters were
seen challenging progression by slamming weapons against walls and even
crawling across floors! Dr. Psycho's now sports a moving
containment fence of animated zombies accompanied by a loud Silent Hill-like
siren, and witnessed a stationary character leaping off an elevated perch
within an adjacent wall and crashing down onto an autopsy table, as well
as an insane, blood-soaked maniac armed with a power drill boasting that,
"The scariest thing is I don't even work here!" Similarly, the majority
of characters engage customers with some sort of interactive dialogue,
and the atmosphere of the venue as a whole is second to none! Haunted
attractions are complimented by The Demon Drop ride, Zombie Sniper
Patrol zombie hunting/paintball experience, and even a full-service
bar known as The Voodoo Lounge offering
adult "spirits" to those 21 years of age and older. Water and soft
drinks are available for younger patrons and those that don't wish to partake
in adult beverages, snacks can be purchased at The Creepy Cafe,
The
Ghostly Gift Shop is stocked full of souvenirs, musical acts
entertain from
The Stage of Rage, and a cozy bonfire keeps you warm
on chilly Autumn nights. This is THE most PROFESSIONAL haunted attraction
around, featuring state of the art props and animatronics, as well as theatrical
sound and lighting. In addition, the price of admission grants UNLIMITED
access to the haunted houses and trail so you can go through as
many times as you like! Why waste $20 on a 10-minute haunted house
elsewhere when 6 hours of seasonal entertainment and scares can be had
at Land of Illusion?
NOTE: Trail and Zombie
Sniper Patrol are CLOSED on Sundays. Zombie Sniper Patrol and
Demon
Drop require separate tickets and are NOT included with Park admission.
